Real Estate Analysis

Home

Real estate, and we are speaking primarily of the residential market, is a great long-term investment with two serious drawbacks, and both depend on timing:
You may have to sell it when you were not ready to do so.
When you are ready to sell it the market may not be favorable for getting the profit you expected.
Assuming you have been in your home for a while and didn't refinance against it at the height of the market, even the present financial woes shouldn't be enough to wipe out most of the gain.  That said, until the credit market straightens itself out, there may be few eligible buyers if you have to sell.

Most consumers fail to realize the fundamental difference between real estate and just about everything else they deal with on a daily basis (unless your business involves being in the stock market)--it is driven not by the cost to manufacture it and deliver it to the consumer, but by what it will bring in a competitive market.

We have the experience to assist you determine whether you should sell or hold, refinance or not, and to assess whether your real assets are really assets, or a budding liability.

If the current real estate market is confusing you, call or email us.  We can help.
