SIDEBAR
Many people confuse disability insurance with Workman's Compensation Insurance.  They are not the same, the primary reason being that Workman's Compensation only pays if you are hurt on the job.  The eligibility rules are also quite different, nor will OASDI cover you, in most circumstances.

Disability Income Insurance

Home

DISABILITY INSURANCE is all about replacing a significant portion of your INCOME should you be unable to work for a period of time due to an accident or illness.

Whether we think about it in these terms or not, most people's ability to earn an income is the foundation of our financial world.  If the average American is rendered unable to work for any significant period of time, it often rapidly creates a financial crisis this is difficult to survive without major damage to credit, or other unfortunate consequences.

Many people, especially professionals earning high incomes or private entrepreneurs and business people with families, children and employees, find this type of protection critical.

These policies, much like long term care policies, must be individually designed.   There is no "one size fits all" when it comes to disability insurance.  The premiums themselves are dialed up or down by how much of a monthly income replacement check is necessary in individual circumstances, and for how long it may be needed.

We work individually with clients to assist you in deciding what the appropriate levels of protection may be, and their affordability.  In addition, there are other types of business coverage you may not be familiar with.  Click here for more details.
